Brighton midfielder Solly March will leave the club next month after making 300 appearances. March has written an emotional farewell letter and will depart when his contract expires in June.

In his farewell letter, Solly March wrote:

Dear fans, saying goodbye to a club I once considered home is always a difficult thing to put into words. From a young player who started with dreams at Lewes to now being able to step onto the American Express Stadium in the Premier League and even European competitions, it has all far exceeded my initial expectations.

During my years at Brighton, I not only grew but also truly learned how to represent the club. I am always grateful for this opportunity. As the club has grown, I have been fortunate to grow alongside it. Under Chris Hughton, we went through a very special period together, and that successful promotion season will forever remain in my memory. Leading Brighton to the Premier League was a very important part of my career.

What followed exceeded my initial expectations. From gradually establishing myself in the Premier League to entering the European arena under Roberto De Zerbi, those nights were unforgettable, and I am proud to have been a part of it.

Not everything went smoothly; recovering from two ACL injuries was one of the toughest phases of my career. But with the support of the club, my teammates, and the fans, I persevered. The moment I put my jersey back on was incredibly important to me.

I want to thank Fabian Schürlzer. Although I wish I had more playing time in the last two seasons, I believe he will continue to lead the club forward next season. I also want to thank my teammates who have fought alongside me over the years, and the entire club staff, from Tony Bloom to everyone, especially the medical and sports science teams, for being there for me during the most difficult period of my career.

I also want to thank the most important family members in my life: my wife Amelia, my three lovely daughters, and all my loved ones. Thank you for your unwavering support and companionship through every high and low point in my life; without them, I could not have made it this far.

Leaving is never easy. This club means a lot to me, and always will, but I'm ready for new challenges and full of confidence and anticipation. I will continue to respond to doubts with my performance and strive to return to my best. I am currently in good health and ready for the next step.

Finally, I want to thank you all the most, the fans. Your support is beyond words; it will accompany me every step of the way. It is an honor for me to represent this club and be a part of its history. I will continue to follow the team, always support it, and be grateful.
