With Manchester City defeating Bournemouth 3-1 in the 37th round of the 2024/25 Premier League, Belgian midfielder De Bruyne completed his last game at the Etihad Stadium. Guardiola said that the love and respect De Bruyne received during his 10 years at Manchester City has surpassed everything.

With goals from Marmus, Bernardo Silva and Nico Gonzalez, Manchester City finally beat Bournemouth 3-1. After 4 wins and 1 draw in the last 5 games, Manchester City is currently ranked 3rd in the standings with 68 points, 2 points ahead of Chelsea in 5th place.

De Bruyne, 33, joined Manchester City in August 2015 and has won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups and one Champions League with Manchester City in his 10-year career.

Manchester City coach Guardiola said, "For De Bruyne, his family and our fans, the most important thing is the expression of emotion. From the atmosphere on the scene, you can feel the close connection between everyone. There is a deep affection and love between Manchester City and his family."

"Winning titles is important, but to live in one place for 10 years and to have so much love, respect and gratitude, nothing is more precious. It's a sad day and he will definitely be missed. He also made a key contribution in this game and helped us to get a very important victory, but we have one last step."

Guardiola continued, "There have been so many games, championships and moments in these 10 years. We have seen the love that everyone has for the players. It's not just a matter of goals or assists, but the connection that accumulates year by year with the club and contributes to the club that people love."

"When Kevin De Bruyne came here, I believe he was not a Manchester City fan, but now I am sure he has become a Manchester City fan and will always be one because he has built a deep relationship with everyone here."

On the other hand, Manchester City will travel to challenge Fulham in the last round of the Premier League this season, and the "Blue Moon" can only win a place in the Champions League if they get all 3 points.
