Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain will travel to Metz for a key match in the 16th round of the 2025/26 Ligue 1 season. Enrique stated that he is satisfied with the team's performance in both attack and defense and looks forward to the busy schedule at the end of the year.

Paris Saint-Germain secured a resounding 5-0 victory over Rennes in their last Ligue 1 match, thanks to goals from Kvalatschlia, Maylou, Ibrahim Mbaye, and Gonzalo Ramos. With four wins and one draw in their last five games, PSG currently sits in second place in the standings with 33 points, two points behind leaders Lens.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique said, "From a performance standpoint, I think we are where we want to be. We have improved in many ways, but we can still do better. However, based on what I have seen on the pitch, both offensively and defensively, I am satisfied."

“Every game presents a different challenge, whether the opponent is Metz or another team. We know this game will be tough because they will be highly motivated and they need to win, plus playing away from home is never easy.”

Enrique added, "I hope the current schedule won't cause too much fatigue, given our frequent travel at the end of the year, but we don't want to make excuses. Our travel conditions are the best, but even so, frequent travel can still be tiring. Judging from our performance in training, the team is ready to face this exciting year-end schedule."

In their Champions League campaign, Paris Saint-Germain drew 0-0 with Athletic Bilbao in their sixth match. Currently, PSG sits in third place with 13 points, and their prospects for advancing look promising.

Enrique stated, "We can compare ourselves to last season, but what we're showing now is actually a continuation of our performance in the last six months of last season. I don't think anyone doubts our ability, but we can do better, and sometimes our form fluctuates. However, overall, we still approach the game with the same style and intensity as last season."

Regarding the squad, Enrique said, "Chevalier has returned to the team and is training normally, and we have also seen Safonov's performance. He showed some very good things, as well as his professionalism, and I am happy to see that everyone is ready to step up when needed."

Enrique is looking forward to the year-end schedule and is satisfied with Paris Saint-Germain's attack and defense.
